Happy March!

I love the month of March! Soon I will be 20 and even better Spring will be here!!! So Happy March Everyone :) Anyways what I really want to share with you is this. I have recently begun reading Jeremiah. Tonight I read Chapter 7 and verse 23 stuck out to me. It says,

"23 but I gave them this command: Obey me, and I will be your God and you will be my people. Walk in all the ways I command you, that it may go well with you."

The next thing that I noticed was the word all, not some or a couple, but everything. Which reminds me of a drama from church on Sunday from that we learned that we need to obey God in all things even when it doesn't make sense to us or we don't know why because He is God - nuff said. In my study Bible the footnote for verse 23 reads "sacrifices are valid only when accompanied by sincere repentance and joyful obedience." We have to keep it real - God knows when we're fake, he sees everything.

The other night I was reading in Jer. Ch 6 and I wanted to share verse 16 with you...

This is what the LORD says:
       "Stand at the crossroads and look;
       ask for the ancient paths,
       ask where the good way is, and walk in it,
       and you will find rest for your souls.
       But you said, 'We will not walk in it.'

The attitude of the heart is far more important than ritual. Jerusalem was filled with sin and had no shame - one verse said they didn't even know how to blush. Therefore God was going to punish them. He had already given them a chance to fix it but they chose not to change.

So tonight I encourage you to change for God, do everything He has commanded you, like it says in Romans 12:1-2

"1Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual[a] act of worship. 2Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."

God teach me to be Obedient.
