Today's world has nothing new under the sun. The same things that are happening today happened throughout history. Yet it feels like everyday there is some new terrible event. Although we can't always prevent these things from happening, we have a miraculous ability to help. The sad part is we often forget to use it. If you have yet to catch on, I am talking about prayer. Prayer is our greatest tool when it comes to trouble in this world. It is the God given gift to communicate directly with the creator of the universe. The book of Matthew shows us how we ought to pray, "Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. “This, then, is how you should pray: “‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’ For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you." Don't forget to communicate with God today.
