Yesterday I decided it was time to venture outside of my new living space and find the store. There isn't too much around here so I knew finding a place to shop would be an adventure, and an adventure it was. I headed out with my wallet and my GPS set to go. The drive was nice, it was all rural roads and beautiful scenery. I enjoyed singing along with the radio on my little adventure. Part way there I came across a family of deer crossing the road. I slowed my car down to a crawl to make sure I wouldn't hit them and then I continued to watch them cross the road. The last deer was just a fawn and I watched as it hopped joyfully to the other side joining the rest of its family. After that, I kept driving only to arrive at a long gravel driveway that clearly wasn't the supermarket. I laughed as I drove by and looked for a place to turn around. I should have known to take paper directions along because this isn't the first time my GPS has taken me somewhere remote. As I made my way back home I saw the sun peaking through the rain clouds and it was so beautiful. I thought to myself, even if I didn't make it to the store, the trip was worth seeing this small part of God's beauty painted in the sky. Then, about a minute later, a rainbow formed directly in front of me. I couldn't believe it! Not only did God reveal his beauty to me in the sky, but he topped it off with the most beautiful rainbow I have ever seen. It warmed my heart that God made those moments just for me.
