Temptation

Tonight I read Matthew Chapter 4, this passage of the Bible tells how Jesus was tempted by Satan. The overall scheme of Lucifer was to get Jesus thinking about himself and all the ways he could use his God power to manipulate the world for his own means. (Wealth, Power, Fame) The devil is using this same old trick even today. All he has to do is get the focus on me myself and I then the rest is on our own heads. Human weakness = selfishness; Human Strength = Christ within; Since Eden the war battles on every moment of everyday. My desires verses God's. We need to be on our toes, ears attentive, eyes watching and mind prepared to overcome the temptations of selfishness. To surrender, not to the enemy but rather to the King over us, that we may be protected in the end. Let's trust the King to do His job, even though some must die in battle, so that in the end we may live in victory.
