Eternal Love

Tonight I really wanted to finish reading Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. I couldn't put the book down. I had this giant hunger to discover what would become of the women and this man who loved her so. What was God going to do? After finishing the 130 pages epilogue and all God assured me once again of His unfailing love. On page 465, Rivers shares why she wrote Redeeming Love and giving a little of her testimony. There she writes about not having that one time conversion experience because she had grown up in the church. Rather she has a continual changing of seasons in which God gradually reveals himself to her and helps her to change to be more like him. But like every other human she still struggles with life. This brought great hope and assurance to me, especially after reading her way of writing Hosea's love story. I like Francine and many others have grown up in Church and cannot recall that one day when I gave my life to Christ. Sometimes I've doubted my salvation because of it - but I know now that God has redeemed me forever and that I never need to doubt, but to always trust in Him that he really does love me even though I am a sinner. I recommend this book to the entire human race, not because of Francine's writing, but because of God's Love and how he used her to communicate it through this book.
