Odds and Ends

So I was going through my facebook notes and wanted to share these with you.

Dear Friend:
How are you? I just had to send you this letter to tell you how much I love and care about you. I saw you yesterday as you were walking with your friends. I waited all day, hoping you would talk to Me also. As evening drew near, I gave you a sunset to close your day and a cool breeze to rest you, and I waited, You never came. Oh yes, it hurt Me, but I still love you because I am your Friend.
I saw you fall asleep last night, and I longed to touch your brow, so I spilled moonlight upon your pillow and face. Again, I waited, wanting to rush down so we could talk. I have so many gifts for you.
You awakened late an rushed off for the day… My tears were in the rain. Today you looked so sad, so alone. It makes my heart ache because I understand. My friends let Me down and hurt Me many times too, but I love you. I try to tell you in the quiet green grass; I whisper it in the leaves and trees, breathe it in the colors of the flowers. I shout it to you in the mountain streams, and give the birds love songs to sing. I clothe you with warm sunshine and perfume the air. My love for you is deeper than oceans and bigger than the biggest want or need you have.
We will spend eternity together in heaven. I know how hard it is on this earth. I really know (because I was there), and I want to help you. My father wants to help you too. He’s that way, you know. Just call Me, ask Me, talk to Me. It is your decision. I have chosen you, and because of this, I will wait… because I love you.

PS - My Core instructor gave us these sheets with the letter on it and i decided i wanted to share it with all of you because i really liked it.

Do you dare to believe?
Do you allow yourself to dream?
The question standing between now
and the fulfillment of your dream is:
Do dreams really come true?
You constantly wonder,
Am i too ambitious? Do i aim too high?
Agony grips you with the fear
that your dreams may never come to pass.
You get confused as your heart contradicts your mind,
for you are convinced in your spirit that this dram
is the life-blood coursing through every vein in your body,
that there is nothing better to do
than to chase after what you love doing.
And in that comes the satisfaction,
the sheer joy of fulfilling you purpose here on earth;
for you realize that the God who made you

So Its been awhile since i've written one of these so i thought i would. Well this J-term i've been taking Gospels and Acts with Dr. White. The class has been a lot of time consuming work, about 9hrs of homework every night. Although it is a lot of work in little time, seperated from that fact, and that it is in the morning, I do like it. The things that we've been studying have helped get a better insight and idea of who Jesus really was. A compassionate person. There are also many times when someone talking to Jesus and says something silly. For example, when asking Jesus if he would heal someone for them the man said Lord if you can, in which Jesus responded frustrated. If I can? he says, I've done all this in front of your eyes and you still ask if i can? and of coarse he still heals the person. But this statement really made me think. Wow, sometimes I ask God for things to be done, if he can do it, instead of if he will do. Other times i may ask if he'll do it - thinking he isnt going to anyway deep inside, afraid that he'll say no. But the Bible tells us not to be that person. It says to pray with a type of expect, that it will be done, without doubting it. - So there it is my thoughts of the recent. I hope this helps in some way.
