Seasons Change
This week my 17yr old dog Buster had to be put down. It was really sad for my whole family because he has been there for almost my whole life. We got him on Valentine's Day 1994, I was four years old. Friday evening he went to doggy Heaven, I am 21 now. Thus, as long as I can remember he has been apart of are family. He was with us every Christmas Morning and Summer Night. When we were sick he faithfully laid by are sides. He often took himself for walks... haha Sometimes he took us for walks too :P He howled at the fire alarm most noons and chased the toads in the backyard. On occasion he would sleep in the living room chair - without mom's permission. I will never forget how he ran to the basement door every time dad would shout "He Scores!" during the Sabres game or how he looked out the living room window as if to watch the snow fall. Buster loved to play in the snow catching snow balls and then eating them. He favorite treats other than snow, were American Cheese slices, the orange kind, and peanut butter dog biscuits. It's going to take me a while to be able to remember him and not cry but I know one day I will be able to. I miss him, he was truly the best dog in the world. <3
Tomorrow I leave for my last year of college I feel so ready, but yet there are things I will miss. This new season is exciting and scary but I know that God will be with me wherever I go, or whatever I go through.
