Tonight I read the book of 1John. This book is only a few short pages but holds so much truth that I have been seeking. It talks about how God is love and to know God is to love. It says that if you don't love your brother that you do not know God because God is love.
As I have expressed in prior posts, this year God has been transforming my life. In the past 7 years I have grown up from being 13-20. In addition, those 7 years of teenage life I really struggled with sin. However, this year God is helping me to change my life. He is showing me His Love - therefore he is showing me Him. I'm so thankful that He never gives up on me or any of us humans. We hurt Him every day yet he looks upon us and says I love you. I can't even begin to understand why, but I know that He does. In reading this book tonight I've learned that to know God is to obey His commands - to believe in the name of Jesus and love one another. So my prayer is that I may know God and Love.
