Today was a beautiful sunny day it was 80* outside and just wonderful! But this week has been amazing for other reasons than just the weather. Wednesday night we had our Wave (Worship Arts Vesper Experience) service on campus which I am required to go to as a Worship Arts major but either way I really love it and would go anyway :) Anyways it was a really great time we celebrated that Christ is Risen! It was very renewing. Then after as I was walking back with my friend we looked up at the stars and decided to lay in the grass for awhile. Then we got to talking and ended up being there for an hour and half! However, it was really good, we got to catch up on each others lives and talk about God stuff. We discussed family, and our struggles. It was really cool. Then today I was able to spend a wonderful evening with my friends just having good conversation about God and life as well. God is doing some really cool things in the hearts of are friends and family members it is so good. I want to encourage you tonight to be praying for your friends. It is easy especially here at school to go through routine thinking everything is pretty good - maybe some stress from work but not too bad - when on the inside your friend could really use some prayer and encouragement. To put this into action myself I'm going to start a summer prayer group with my friends - they don't know it yet :) but we will. Even 300 miles apart sitting in are own homes we can help each other through prayer so I know you can think of something too ;)
By the way this week I have also been trying to pray more throughout the day like I did when I was in public school but since coming to a Christian college has been lacking because I am not as aware of the person next to me who definately needs God. But just because it's a Christian school doesnt mean that everyone knows God. Anyway what I mean is praying throughout the day has been so good for me and it helps me to put my main focus and thoughts on God rather than other things it's so great. I encourage to start praying all the time it is wonderful :)
